writing with zettelkasten is convenient

Table of Contents

For a wwriting workflow, say to write a literature review, it would be super convenient if you had all those ideas, papers represented in fine zettels.

1. serializing idea is convenient

for any writing workflow, they are essentially serializing ideas into an assembly for the format, like essay or codebase.

with a set of fine zettels, you have ripe, solid, concise, research-backed ideas presented in easy to understand text already, so bit of tailoring work would be enough.

2. reference management is convenient

reference has always been headache for any writing workflow, and yet for zettelkasten, reference is conveniently coupled with atomic ideas, which idea is from where, inspired by what.

with citar-org-roam, you can have zettels for papers specifically, making reference management even easier

3. reassembly of idea is convenient

Another headache is that ideas tends to have structures, if you let them be. you’ll have ideas presented for one purpose for one purpose, and that may just be your note of them.

Yet after when you want to reassemble them for another purpose, telling them apart gets harder and cumbertsome(undo tailoring work, undo smooth reasoning, undo dependency and local focus variation of idea)

With zettels, structure is imposed and the original atomic ideas are easily accessible, thus reassembly them take no longer than the first time they appear to you.
