typical time scales

This may be contingent fact about me and my surroundings and not applicable to others.
1. morale
I created this note to remind myself and to fight against a ghost
- ghost
- I have a strong belief in overnight genius, that I could do anything in one night, or learn any topic in 30m(which is the unit how I organize the night)
- history
- This ghost is formed early, I guess in junior high.
- I typically forget about plans and learn only before deadlines.
- I think it is to rationalize this pattern that I invented this belief
- It sticks because I never explictly deny it.
- typically I forget about everything around exam days. Include the work, the not work, and the results.
- So there’s no reinforcement for me to drop that belief
- reminder
it is only a special case of the fact that I never take time to watch, quantify, or try to remember the common scales the world is operating on. I don’t know how long it takes to walk to school, how long it takes to reboot, how long it takes to make a meal, eat it, or do the dishes, how long it takes to shower, toothbrushing, read an article, understanding an article, practice a skill……
And that would render any plan build on these notions ill-presumed, cracking the time frame of my plan, and result in them not finished.
