Drawing with pen and ink.
Particularly, styles and techniques of drawing that:
- primarily use pen(ballpen,dippen,pilot vball)
- primarily use pure gradient (balck - greys - white/backgorund)
- primarily use line hatching to shade/render forms
It is very convenient as the core techniques could be carried out with only any piece of paper and one pilot ballpen1
It is also very powerful as it shares a core skillset with other drawing styles(painting, pencil), and have a large set of techniques producing coherent effect with a little bit more equipment2

In drawing, especially ink drawing(where subtle gradient change is not so convenient), artist has to choose what detail to include and what not.

pilot vball is what I use now, but any pen that could draw lines(that is every pen) should do. bonus points if you can make lineweight change with a convenient pressure curve/pentip angle (3 different line weights that you can pull off easily then you are golden)
